I drank this during the meteor shower this past weekend. It is a solid bottle of Chardonnay. I love the pear and apple flavors. Since there is no oak you get more a tart fruit taste. It burns a little bit, but it is easily overcome. It is a good buy for the price. My friend who love her Kendall Jackson really enjoyed this wine. That is quite a feat! Kudos!

The nose on this wine brings some slight honey but it’s tart honey, like a sweet tart candy coated in honey. I get just a slight floral bouquet as well so it’s perhaps it’s a honey covered sweet tart inside a flower rubbing up next to the stamens and getting all cozy with pollen, whatever. The mouth feel is really nice on this wine, nice consistency, a little underwhelming on the actual flavor profile and I’m not getting a whole lot coming through but what comes through is nice. A little lemon, a little more lemon, and a little more kinda’ parsley garnished lemon slices. This wine is a nice departure from that overly oaked, Cleopatra and the snake crap I call it, but you’re definitely getting some stainless steel tin foil coming through on the palate as well, some metal overtones, so there is a bit of a downside to the complete non-oak avenue. The finish is tart, lemon, really slight pear, some apricot. I almost feel as though this wine is a little too acidic and that’s slightly ruining it for me. I can see how some people would absolutely love this wine while oaky and butter chardonnay fans would absolutely despise this wine. For me this is a buy, it’s a buy now. However, if you are into oak and butter I would absolutely RUN from this wine as if you were hiking in the woods with a bear chasing your overly-oaked-chard-loving ass down the trail. Only kidding of course. There is NO better wine to illustrate why ratings are merely subjective then this bottle here. Period.

This was a daytime wine at camping this year and it fit the day really well. I also had a Hogue Riesling that was just too sweet for a hot day. I didn't get the metal taste that other people picked up, but the honey and apricot were certainly there. Not overly acidic, but nice and crisp - which is just what I was looking for that day. It didn't stick around too long, but certainly enjoyable.

Light yellow color. Nose is banana candy, mineral and a faint hint of lime. This chard is unoaked and is acidic. Tart finish. Flavor profile is a bit underwhelming; the minerality overpowers the fruit. Maybe some citrus coming through, granny smith apple peel, straw. Interesting wine as it doesn't really taste like a traditional chard - almost more like a dry riesling or sauv blanc.
