I was very surprised by the flavor of this wine, and not for the better. Having gotten used to Pinot from California, I am accustomed to ripe fruit and a relatively full body that still carries nuance. This bottle tastes green by comparison, to the point that I initially thought something must be wrong. The grapes are from France, though, and I must admit to being unfamiliar with Burgundy's style of production, as most of the wines from that region are far beyond my price range. Green, thin fruit dominates the tasting experience, with slightly more roundness coming behind. Improved somewhat with breathing; perhaps we should have decanted this one. I don't know much about aging wines, so I don't know whether this should be cellared for improvement.

As a college student, I always grab a bottle of this. For the last three years I have had nothing but good experience with it. I highly recommend it.
