(2008-02-06 23:40:17 UTC)The Petite Verdot sends this one over the top. A great wine for the price. Also, the terrifying cur on the label is pretty awesome.

(2008-02-03 02:06:27 UTC)Considering that my daughter (6) picked this one out for the label, this was another good find. Nothing special on the nose (pop and pour) - some black fruits, a little tobacco and leather. Taste was really quite good, again with the black fruits, leather and some spice. Decent finish. Overall a great QPR.
Turns out I rated this one about 5 months ago with a slightly higher rating, so I guess my palette is starting to be more selective.

(2007-07-21 00:49:14 UTC)A lot of heat in this young wine. It gets much better with an hour or two of decanting. Strong dark berries immediately hit your tongue. Then, some wood and spice (cinnamon?) comes out on the palate. As the bottle opens up, I notice more cherry coming to the fore. The finish is odd and short in that it starts to come up and then just disappears. Overall, an interesting wine and not a bad value.

(2007-03-26 06:23:13 UTC)I wanted to try this wine because it had 46% petit verdot, but it was not at all what I expected. Very berry,a bit too much for my taste. Would most likely not buy again.

(2007-02-23 09:26:47 UTC)I accompanied this wine with a vegetarian meal, it would probably be more awesome if I ate meat. Most interesting label, and most interesting story behind Red Head Studio. I'm curious about the white.
