Osoyoos Larose 2003
(2 months ago)Very deep ruby core with a narrow, garnet rim. Aromatic nose that offers a complex bouquet of raspberry jam, cassis, fruitcake, kirsch, plums, menthol, cocoa and vanilla. There is a somewhat earthy undertone that runs through the nose. Dry on the palate with fresh acidity, firm, grippy (but very ripe) tannins. Very well-balanced. The flavours offer a nice replay of the nose on the tongue. Very long finish. An all around fantastic wine with great complexity, structure and balance. Approachable now, but could still age gracefully for several more years. An excellent value for $35.00 CAN.
