Chateau Reynella Grenache 2002
(about 1 year ago)Nice earthy nose with a hint of mint and cherry. The earthiness comes thorough on the taste with nice raspberry, cherry and currant. Great tannin structure provides a nice light finish. Interesting wine that should be decanted at minimum for 1 hour.

(11 months ago)Dirty cranberries. Not a lot on the nose and much lighter than expected. Nice light finish.

(6 months ago)Color: To me it looks like a Black cherry tree branch (with plenty of nice ripe fruit ) was cut off and stuck in a blender with just a couple of strawberries. Dark, but on the outer edges it gives off a reddish brown color. Smell: dirty cherries, a little eucalyptus and mint.....and the faintest hint of licorice. Taste: Forget fruit bomb...think cherry bomb! Little bits of mint and something green...some kind of vegetable (maybe asparagus but since I don't ever eat it I'm not sure). The problem with it is that the flavors disappear right after you swallow. I really like that it's light, but I would really like it to stick around a bit longer. I really like this for a summer red wine. Give it a shot. Mouth Feel: the tannins attack my cheeks but nothing on my tongue...very weird.
