Sometimes a blend results in something unlike either varietal. Ah the magic of vino-based alchemy! Other times though the qualities of both grapes are present in the primary essence, and this is the case with this wine, which has that nectar nose from the Viognier with plenty of depth from the Roussanne behind it. A really neat blend, definitely worth seeking out, and like other Roussanne-based wines it's definitely one to spring on your Red-Only friends.

Peach and apricot are dominant with honeydew and floral aromas as secondary flavors. An "unctuous" full body makes one forget that viognier is the secondary grape rather than the primary, but the Roussanne clearly comes across on the finish. This blend of two "Cross-Rhone Rivals" is recommended to viognier lovers and those with an experimental nature.
