Soft, medium-bodied red made from an Austrian varietal, Lemberger (a.k.a. Blaufrankisch). This offering, made by Jed Steele, has soft red and blue fruit, great acid and soft tannins.

(about 1 year ago)Wonderfully light and smooth! Nice berry flavor without the acidity. A lot lighter than a cab, but excellently balanced wine for the price!

(about 1 year ago)I had this at the winery and took some home as well. Great fruit on the nose. This tastes of blueberries with blueberry sauce on top with a scoop of blueberry sorbet on the side. Balanced, with nice acidity and a good finish for this price point as well.

Shooting Star 2005 Blue Franc
(11 months ago)This wine was excellent, especially for the low price. It's a lighter red, so it drinks more like a Pinot Noir (my favorite). I would say it's entering the "just right" period. Gets better after about 30 mins of breathing.
