Not the best Barbera d'Alba I've ever tasted, but has a very distinctive taste that can accompany very well with any blue cheese. Especially Gorgonzola and Stilton. It has an instant powerful black pepper and hay-barn nose. The taste has hints of wild berries combined with hay and pepper but a rather smoky aftertaste. Mediocre wine.
