(over 2 years ago)Very good and completely cheap for such a complex taste. It is very sharp and bold. House Wine from the Magnificent Wine Company is terrific.
House Wine
(over 2 years ago)My wife and I love this wine. Very good and a beautiful label.
House Wine
(over 2 years ago)Smoky, reminds me of the smell of a deep, spicy pipe. Cherry undertones. Wonderfully quaint label.
House Wine
(about 1 year ago)Very nice, easy drinking wine with some complexity. Paid about $12 a bottle for it. I will probably buy a case of this in the near future, or at least several bottles as part of a mixed case purchase.
House Wine
(about 1 year ago)Drinkable, but far from the most interesting thing in the cellar.
House Wine
(about 1 year ago)Really lovely fruity red blend that can adapt to just about any red wine drinking scenario. Good to take to a party where you don't quite know the food story, and good for just drinking a glass or 2.
House Wine
(about 1 year ago)I'll admit it: I bought this one strictly because the label made me laugh out loud. There's a surprising amount of complexity and sophistication for a six dollar bottle. It is certainly better than any nameless house wine I've ever had. There's a very peppery and spicy taste, and the flavours are very well seeded into the bouquet. Under the strong berry flavours are more citric tones of lemon, and something bit like poppy seed. It should go very well with a spicy sausage. Too bad I don't have one around at the moment.

(about 1 year ago)Mostly cherry notes on the nose, with just a hint of red licorice. Sour cherry and red currant flavours. A bit off balanced, though.
House Wine
(about 1 year ago)Slightly boring on the nose -- lacks complexity on the palate for a wine rated so high. 1-1.5 hours after decanting shows marked improvements.

(8 months ago)tnfDude, you are spot on! I never learn, cool label=average wine. I think I was gouged at $14. Cherry scent with a taste that is not real smooth.
House Wine
(7 months ago)Quickly becoming a standby in our home, House Wine is always a good, solid choice for just about any pairing and/or occasion. I highly recommend it.
House Wine
(6 months ago)Pretty solid for the price. Had a very nice spice and cherry components and slight bitterness on the finish.
