This was a decent red wine of Piedmont. The nose was a bit closed, but very "old world" - subtle tar and rose petals developed into sugared berries. The wine was very Mediterranean on the palate, sour cherry and a translucent color coated my mouth with soft tannins. This is not a wine to drink by itself, it is nicely smoothened with any sort of cheese.
