(about 1 year ago)wasn't the greatest left it open for an hour and still didn't go from good to great like I had hope. Doubt I would buy another.

(11 months ago)A nice fruit-forward nose of plums, smoked beets and allspice, a potent and aggressive mouth-feel - a tad over powering for most foods and an abbreviated finish. Not a bad wine for what I paid (less than $8), but lends itself drinking with sharp, flavorful cheeses rather than for dinner entrees.

(5 months ago)"On the nose": smells exactly like the wine I used to get at mass; I'm picturing a pot of mashed up beets left to ferment with a sprinkling of pennies in it; the copper smell is getting stronger the more I swirl it around; kind of smells like wet cement as well. Taste: pretty dry; feeling the burn; there is a tea-like quality to it, but it is pretty weak. Little bit of "grandma's potpourri" mixed in. The metallic tinge definitely hangs out for a while in the back. We'll probably finish the bottle, but won't buy another one.

(3 months ago)cherry, vanilla came in strong but then had a very thin finish. It just felt very unfinished, I liked the beginning, nice and fruity and a little dark coffee but then it just disappears. It leaves you feeling a little cheated like, well they didn't lie, it had all the promised flavors, but it just lacked that umph. Like another reviewer said, slight metallic aftertaste.

(about 1 month ago)Thought I'd picked up a fairly simple fruit forward everyday wine and ended up with weird green, herbal tannins. The fruit is there in both the nose and the mouth, but there's an unpleasant and astringent finish that just ruins it for me. Since this is a mish mosh of grape varietals, I'd guess it's all the leftover fruit that didn't make the cut. Don't waste your money. With a little patience and perseverance, better wine can be had in the same price range.
