Maybe I had a bad bottle, but I must disagree from some of the other members.

The nose was great, just the right mix of terrior and red fruit. Some tobacco and cigar box. However the wine was a let down in the mouth. It was really medium bodied and very tannic. HOwever I do not think that some more time in the cellar would have helped as there was little fruit. The next day the wine was a bit better with some blackberry jam in the mouth, but still at the 20 dollar pp there are much better wines.

The color was awesome.

SOLID BORDEAUX wine! Great nose revealing subtle fruit, but darker tarry earthy mixed figs elements. On the palate, the wine was SMOOTH with a nice hint of alcohol, black fruit, and very dirty earth elements. This was a great weekday old-world wine... a lot of fun!

Bouquet: Sour Cherry, Rose Hips, a touch of alcohol.
Flavor Profile: Very subtle, smooth. The Bouquet has much more of an intense flavor than the actual taste of the wine. Sour cherry with light tannins leads to vegetable like flavors towards the ends, alcohol is well integrated and finishes slightly dry.

Very subtle and delicate in all of its aspects. Nose, flavors etc. a fine integration, very rounded, no flaws.
