2002 Gallo of Sonoma Syrah Reserve

Like grocery store wine's bitter cousin. I wouldn't be surprised if I were ever brave enough to try it again that there was cork failure (although it was a rubber cork) in this bottle. My husband refused to finish it, pouring the last glassful down the drain. Also had residue at the tapering edge of the bottle (between neck and main body) as though it had been stored at an impossible angle and the debris stuck to the glass.
