Deep purple with a heavy nose of chocolate, cherry, mud and grass atop an odor any restuarant employee will recognize - a hundred plate scrapings left to mingle and marinate for hours in the kitchen garbage pail on a steamy summer night. Lots of sour fruits and citrus flavors followed by a dry, onion-y finish. I was horrified by the 2004, but this 2005 is a decent bottle of wine, especially for the price (never mind the smell).

A little tobacco and citrus on the nose. Nice mouth feel, and a decent finish with a little more tobacco and a hint of chocolate. Not bad for the price, and I love the screw top.

We don't typically like Cabernet Sauvignon, but this was nice. It was a little young, but had a good flavor. Our guests, who do love Cabs, adored this.
