Louis Jadot Pinot Noir Bourgogne 2004
(about 1 year ago)Gorgeous pinot noir, excellent value. Not too strong, but a complicated flavor. Lots of dark fruit (plums, red apples, berries).
Louis Jadot Pinot Noir Bourgogne 2004
(about 1 year ago)easy to drink for a youthful 2004. for my tastes, a bit too simple, approaching dull. notes of red to dark red cherry, plums, olives, asparagus, on the nose with slightly gamey but very well balanced finish. tannins were very round and balanced to start but taking on much more defined bite as the wine sat.
Louis Jadot Pinot Noir Bourgogne 2004
(about 1 year ago)On the nose it is dusty and earthy, but definitely not quite up to barnyard level. some red fruit and plums underneath. nice weight to the palate. No overpowering fruit, no overpowering tannins, no overpowering acidity. No overpowering personality??
Louis Jadot Pinot Noir Bourgogne 2004
(about 1 year ago)Even after a couple of hours of breathing time, this nose was still super-tight. Familiar Pinot aromas were coming through far in the distance. Decent front end with black berries and currant. Mid-palate brought dark fruits, terroir and oak but soon disappeared. The mouthfeel was fairly light. The finish was very flat and dry with no length whatsoever. In the end, it was flabby and disjointed, leaving the alcohol in control.
