2003 Armand Roux Verdillac Bordeaux Rouge

(about 1 year ago)Medium isn't always a bad word. Smooth texture, mild tannins, good acids, medium body. Still, there's plenty of fruit: plum, black cherry, currant. Strong fruit flavor on the tongue; opens up in an hour or so to heavier tannins. I don't eat meat, but it seems like a good burger wine. Great with chocolate too.
