What a difference 3 months makes! First time round scored it an 86, now it's 88. Velvety smooth, almost sweet, fruity and rich. A hint of spice at the back of the throat. Plummy dark chocolate coming out, so much better than the first one.

Nose full of jammy fruit and pepper. Full bodied not very complex and very tame finish, but for less than $10 it is the greatest value I have had so far.

This is my go-to inexpensive Zinfandel. Always a great, spicy, rich flavor. Not as smoky or complex as others, but always a good drink.

Ravenswood 2003 Vinter's Blend Zinfandel is one of the best 10$ bottles in its class. It's bursting with flavor and has a great tanic presence. Let it breathe for 20 minutes and it's fantastic.
