Simple, fruity, one-sided. A little bit dry, which is nice as it doesn't have much backbone otherwise. Better than most cheap Trader Joe's wines. Very smooth finish.

A quite palatable and very inexpensive wine from Trader Joe's. It's my first experience with Hungarian red wines (I sampled a white wine many years ago that was ghastly). I'm drinking it with a peppery, garlic-y fresh greens & chicken salad I made. The nose is a little thin & peppery, the taste about the same, with some dry fruit. I like the acidity, and the fact that it really is different than what one normally finds on the shelves. Definitely worth the $4 paid!

Smells almost like prune, but is dry and has a very meaty mouth feel. Earthy palate, with mushrooms and big deep red fruits. It's easy to see why this would be named "Bull's blood." Remarkably few flaws for a wine at this price.
