2005 Owen Roe Ex Umbris Syrah
(about 1 year ago)Juicy with lots of smooth, dark fruit. Drips with black cherry, plum, and a hint of mocha. Rich, smooth mouthfeel with a long finish. Could use a bit more structure, but quite delicious.

(about 1 year ago)Nose brings some campfire blackberry syrup and maybe some red currant as well as a little heat (alcohol). The palate on this wine is slightly more complex then I was expecting, tons of dark fruits, some fruit roll-ups, passion fruit, and plum skins. The finish is really intriguing, almost almond and some minor banana notes coming through the serious plum and strawberry preserves. Decent wine.
