Pierre Peters Blanc de Blanc Cuvee Reserve
(over 2 years ago)As soon as the cork popped the air filled with butter followed immediately by almonds. My girlfriend also noticed pear and ocean air. The palette showed a nice toasted nut flavor that carried through from front to back. Towards the end of the bottle we both noticed heavy accents of bread dough. The fruit profiles in this were tart but not overly so. This is a great bottle of champagne for $30. paired nicely with this recipe: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/recipe_views/views/232783

(over 2 years ago)Rich, toasty, bready and alluring. Pierre Peters has some amazing holding of prime real estate in Oger, so he makes some of the best Blanc de Blancs out there. I've never seen it for under $40.00, if you can get it for $30.00 STOCK UP!

(about 1 year ago)Really nice sea salt flavors on the nose. Flavor profile is a really nice mix of sourdough toast, under-ripe peach, a little butter for the toast and a little strawberry/pear. Really sensational bottle, and I'm not a big lover of sparkling wines.

(about 1 year ago)Not much to add to what's been written. Salon & Krug blanc de blanc come from the same area. Crisp but still accessible to someone who doesn't drink a lot of grower champagne. This is a good choice for people who want to explore some of the really good blanc de blancs from the smaller Champagne houses.
