2003 CARM Douro Classic
(about 1 year ago)This is a nice value. If you like classic styled Tuscan Sangiovese or Spanish tinto, this is a bargain. Dark ruby color. Nose: Dusty currants and violets w/ spice and smoke lurking. Almost pungent. Smells a little like a Tuscan Sangiovese. Taste is meaty, leathery red berries. Very dry and med to light on the midpalate. Dry, roasted finish with lingering notes of sour berries. Very old world. Amazing value.
