2001 Parallele "45" Cotes du Rhone
(about 1 year ago)This one is very peppery but bright and fresh. Has a lot of acidity when you hold it for tasting, but this helps the wine stand up. While I don't find this one to be particularly outstanding, it's a decent French red.
2001 Parallele "45" Cotes du Rhone
(about 1 year ago)I found this to be a good value for a Cotes du Rhone for under $15; something I can drink daily if I wanted to. Like a previous reviewer, the color was dark, very peppery, and overall nice finish. I drank it from 65 degree to 72. I found the flavors to come out more as it got warmer, which of course is usually how it works. This is a very easy drinking wine. If you are looking for something every day that is inexpensive, this is worth a try. Note: mine was the 2005 vintage.
