This is a white that really likes to open up. Initially, I got some zesty notes of lemon, but as it breathed, there was some nice coconut, honeysuckle, and maybe a wisp of almond cookie. It reminds me of a chardonnay, but has more of a french fruit and flower deal. Not too shabby. I'd recommend the marsanne as a grape worth exploring. As for Beckman, their Syrahs are outstanding, though not the best in the Santa Ynez Valley (Blackjack).
