Blue Fin 2005 California Chardonnay
(about 1 year ago)Considering the price, this was a great deal. A little harsh at first sip, it had a pleasant aftertaste, faint hints of melon and citrus, and was lightly sweet. Again, nothing fantastic, but a good deal at this price.

(about 1 year ago)I haven't been drinking whites lately, but gave this one a shot simply because it was on display at Trader Joe's. It's tasty and drinkable.

(10 months ago)Not bad for under five bucks! The nose is lacking, and It's a little sweeter than what I'd want to see in a chardonnay, but the citrus and acidity balance it out okay. Nice color, and the mouthfeel is okay. We had it with some spicy southern Indian food. If you're just looking for a table wine, this fits the bill.

(9 months ago)My ex enjoys this wine, so I'm trying to not let that affect my rating. :) Anyway, this wine is pretty decent for the price. It is a non threatening chardonnay and is best chilled. Perfect for laid back parties at the house on a budget!

(9 months ago)Not much of a nose on this wine, but it's full of flavor... maybe a bit too much so. Drinks more like a Riesling that a Chardonnay. Fruity and sweet, not really my thing, but good for flavorful foods. Maybe a night of Chinese?

(7 months ago)This is a very user-friendly Chard. Nothing challenging about it, just simple and enjoyable. Peach, apricot & melon in the nose, with a little hint of sour Chardonnay character and oaky vanilla. The taste, as a previous reviewer noted, is fairly sweet for the varietal, but still has a bit of sourness; it's also clean and acidic, and yes, it does resemble a Riesling somewhat. I'm not complaining! Might be a good Chard for those who claim to not like Chard. It's a pleasant sipping wine and would be good with spicy Asian food.
