Liberty School 2003 Central Coast Chardonnay
(about 1 year ago)This was a heck of a lot better than I was expecting. The color wasn't that great (a bit light), and the nose (while fruity and floral) was a bit on the forgettable side. Now, all that said... once you take a sip there some real nice hints of apples, pears and pineapple. It's quite sweet for a chard (really surprising), and has a the typical toasty, oaky finish (but well done... not crazy amounts of oak). If there were 1/2 stars, this would be a solid 3.5. Pairs really well with spicy food.
