2004 Vina Requingua Puerto Viejo Carmenère

First, you have to comment on the label on this wine, it appears to be a thin, stamped wood (balsa maybe) that's been adhered to the front bottle. It's pretty interesting.

Now, on to the tasting... This is a subtle wine, but still very intriguing. Theres some ripe black fruit up front, a bit of coffee, vanilla and earth, and some pretty soft tannins that are pretty well incorporated in the finish. Very nice.
