Domaine Sautereau Sancerre 2005
(about 1 year ago)18th wine tried in HADM 430 at Cornell. Light yellow color. Tangy crisp smell, a bit of mineral, very herbaceous and vegetal. The taste is just like green olives... almost like drinking the water straight out of a jar of olives. There's a creamy texture, a bit sour, a bit of herbs and a taste like gun metal powder, but you can't get over that green olive sensation. I'm not crazy about it but it would make a nice food wine.
