Subtle tannins, perfect acidity and fruitful body with some heat makes this Barbera from Amador County a sincere companion for your meal. There is also a lovely buttery preserved cherries roundness which is imparted, I think, from the oak aging. A surprisingly complex bouquet perfectly matches a slice of young parmesan.
