Alc. 13.9% by vol.; ingredients: organic grapes; 90 Points - Gary Vaynerchuk: "#1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-old gray sweater/closet, little wood, hint of wet rock & dirt, suck-ass fruit (SAF); TASTE-great sour cherry, far more like a classic Bordeaux, strawberry jam coming through, Cocoa Puffs, great body, silky smooth, a heavy wine, earthy yet fruity; heavy yet elegant, which I like, Great QPR; GV-90"... from winelibrary.com: "Merlot this good for this kind of money never happens. Cut more from a French style, as opposed to a traditional Napa Merlot, this exudes what great value is all about. Wonderful cherries, strawberry, red raspberry, with earthy notes of leather and forest floor. This is all packaged together with great acidity and tannins."

(about 1 year ago)NICE! This is a great value, a fun wine to drink! Nice dirtiness, wood, and sweet red fruit on the nose complemented with nice sour cherry, jam, acidity, and wood on the palate. Bordeaux style, but true to California. + or - evals... Distinct varietal character: +, Integration: -, Expressiveness: +, Complexity: -, Connectedness: +

(about 1 year ago)Nose: Upon opening (30 min sitting in the bottle) I got a charcoal, blackberry nose. Very in-depth and tantalizing. The palate, however, dissapointed slightly. With such a deep, rich nose, I was expecting more of a mouthfeel, more of a midpalate, more of everything. What I got was a hint of sour cherries and a blackberry finish. Nothing special, and almost too thin. However, this would go with LOTS of food options, which I appreciate. After a few hours open/in the glass, it really hasn't changed much. Kinda stuck in a rut, actually. I'm wondering if it's bordering on old-age. ANyway, there's nothing wrong about it, and it certainly is smooth. Just not wowing me. And lord knows, I love to be wowed by wine. I do miss, however, any secondary flavors that would make this a special bottle for me.
