2001 Chateau Larmande Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Initial aroma is black pepper and cement. Opens up, especially day 2 w/ some blackberry and dark chocolate. Flavors are restrained, but it's interesting, complex, and well balanced. I taste black pepper, bay leaf, chalk, a bit of kerosene, and a nice medium long finish of sour red fruit, maybe plum.
