I much preferred the Jonesy port for $5 less. This is a less-substantial wine in the style of Taylor Fladgate tawny. Beautiful golden red color with honey, molasses and autumnal fruits on the nose and palate. If I hadn't had the Jonesy I would have found this outstanding. It's worth trying, but will not be a staple in my cellar.

A strong sense of carmel apples hit my nose when I opened the bottle. On the pallet there were hints of black berries and sugar plums on a somewhat grainy texture that was followed by a spiciness that made this especially interesting.

Excellent tawny, especially for the price. Caramel, honey, nuts as well as grape(though not nearly as powerfull grape as a non-tawny) and orange. Some pleasant spice but not heat on the finish.

Think Creme Brulee. A good Aussie tawny for the money.
