100% Grenache Noir, label a time-captured flame, very expressive.

Bodegas Zabrin Garnacha De Fuego Old Vines
(about 1 year ago)Indeed an awesome value for the money. Cherry and plum, with a distinct white pepper finish. As a new convert of white pepper, this wine is fantastic with any WP cooked meat. Easy-going, but far from boring. A perfect match for red-meat tapas or barbecues. Be warned, though: the alcohol content is 14.0%, so make sure to share the bottle at those barbeques.

(about 1 year ago)Opaque eggplant-purple color. Nose full of ripe berries with an herbal edge and a whiff of Welch's grape soda. Clean cherry fruit flavors with a meatiness that arrives near the end. Finishes with more tannic astringency than expected. The impression lingers quite a while. Overall, this is nice to drink and a fine value. It's substantial, but not complex enough to rate higher.

(10 months ago)Ripe powerful Garancha. Shows off Spanish power.
