If you don't know about Cameron Hughes, google the winery… it's fairly clever… And you have to admit, they've got a smart thing going here. As for this wine… eh… not so much. It's entirely unoaked, and frankly, it really feels like it's missing something because of it. It's got kind of a fruit-peachy nose, and lots of green apple and a hint of lemon on the tongue. Past that, there's little else—and next to no finish, making it a bit… uninteresting. The $10 price tag is nice and it sure beats many of the other "cheap" california chards out there, but all in all, it's nothing spectacular.
