Rich and chewy, great focused fruit flavors of currant and blackberry with a bit of dark cherry. Nice, long spicy finish. Good to drink now but would certainly benefit from a bit of time - it's a big wine. If you can't wait, be sure to decant before drinking. One of my very favorite Petite Sirahs - gotta love those "purple teeth" wines!

This wine is RIDICULOUSLY delicious. Monster nose of dark blackberry, black raspberry, cocoa. Almost reminds me of baked goods and the aromas are very distinct, great nose. On the palate this baby explodes in a burst of HUGE blackberry, dark dark chocolate flavors. Not sweet chocolatey like at all, like baking chocolate in it's darkness and purity. The flavors are easy to separate but meld perfectly. There is ssome spice on the mid-palate, with some soft, ripe tannins, very well structured, great mouth feel. Little heat before the finish, at 15.3% alc you're gonna feel some. But the heat is like a segue to a dark, french roast coffee finish. This wine is like a blackberry/raspberry mocha-chino, in a wine way, and it's just bringing the thunder, so to speak. 26$ was a fair price for this excellent effort on petite sirah.
