Campaccio
(over 2 years ago)Tremendous wine from a tremendous year for Tuscanny. A Chiant bottled in the Super Tuscanesque name "Campaccio." Full of fruit and flavor this will only benefit from age - though its a treat to enjoy now!
Campaccio
(over 2 years ago)This is a very nice Sangiovese. I was thrilled to find this at restaurants 3 or 4 years ago for $30... since then, it has clearly been "discovered", because the price has ratcheted up considerably. That said, it has the flavor and body of a good tuscan sangiovese, without the heavy "kick" of tannins that turn off drinkers less accustomed to the tuscan style (i.e., it's a little more mellow/rounded than many tuscan reds).
