Murphy-Goode 2004 Liar’s Dice Zinfandel
(about 1 year ago)This was an interesting pick. The nose is real fruity—all cherries and berries, and a little one dimensional. On the palate, there's a really BIG intense flavor of ripe, ripe raspberries, but once that passes you’re left with a surprising little bit of complexity. The finish is a bit dry with nice subtle notes of toasted oak, which really helps balance out the crazy strong fruit up front. Very nice. Paired surprisingly well with take out Chinese.

(about 1 year ago)Delicious berry cobbler flavors; lots of oak but it's pleasant, soft vanillan oakiness. New World deliciousness. (Tasted in restaurant)
