Foley 2004 Pinot Noir
(over 2 years ago)Three and a half...pushing four. This is one of those bigger styled pinot noirs. A little more heat, more body but with enough elegance to hold it all in. The fruit is still primary and laden in sweet berries. Dark cherries, raspberries, boysenberries, cherry pits, some blackberry. The oak contact is apparent but not in your face. There's vanilla and some baking spices; more prononunced are the nutmeg & clove. Long finish and well balanced. Oh yeah...and pretty label. Drank 05/2006
