The nose at first was a bit harsh but this is a young wine. After decanting the nose was much better and brought out the dark fruit scents. The color is dark garnet and it has a rich heavy body. Plums and leather are 2 of the many notes you'll find. The oak is wonderfully rich and balances well with the hints of chocolate. Very nicely done.

The slight berry aroma was pleasant but not excessively noticeable. The taste was balanced, slightly fruity with little spice. The tannins were low with a finish that linger pleasantly.

A great bargain from Chile and definitely worth checking out. Her older sister (2004) may be a little smoother but perhaps with maturity this one will get there too.
