Root 1 Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
(over 2 years ago)The nose at first was a bit harsh but this is a young wine. After decanting the nose was much better and brought out the dark fruit scents. The color is dark garnet and it has a rich heavy body. Plums and leather are 2 of the many notes you'll find. The oak is wonderfully rich and balances well with the hints of chocolate. Very nicely done.

(over 2 years ago)The slight berry aroma was pleasant but not excessively noticeable. The taste was balanced, slightly fruity with little spice. The tannins were low with a finish that linger pleasantly.

(about 1 year ago)A great bargain from Chile and definitely worth checking out. Her older sister (2004) may be a little smoother but perhaps with maturity this one will get there too.
