Did not care for this wine. Tasted of under-ripe strawberry with a somewhat peppery finish. Can't complain much though for the price.

Aroma of red raspberry, palate of leather, sour cherry and raspberry. Tasted a bit weak and acidic. Was much better with food than without. Would not get again, even for the low price paid.

Purchased at Trader Joe's in Tempe, AZ. Peppery anise in the nose, and a hint of strawberry jello and mothballs. The taste is young and a little raw, good acidity, some tannin, some cherry, and definite pepper. I think some cellaring would help - the character could blend more. Not great, but not bad.
