Bought this bottle almost as a joke, with no expectations (especially because I don't like Merlots). Well, of course the wine is what it is, an inexpensive light bodied table wine, but it's not a shame at all. It has structure, a strong floral and fruity nose and it reveals herbs and gentle toasted tannins that will match quite every dish. A real surprise.

Light to medium-bodied, red fruit and some subtle vegetable components. Slightly floral on the nose, but not much else there for me. (to be fair I'm a little congested). Worth trying at this price.

Smooth and very drinkable. I bought this on a whim, not expecting much, and was pleasantly surprised. Great value for its price.

Not much on the nose and hardly anything on the finish. In between some sweet candy-like red fruit and plum elements. Light-bodied for a cab sauvignon dominated blend, and soft tannins (I would have guess it was more than just 15% merlot). It’s not particularly disagreeable, but extremely uninteresting. Why is it that my father-in-law always serves this with pasta? Oh yeah… it’s cheap. And its soft tannins and sweet fruit means that the white wine drinkers in the family don't complain so much about this red.
