Good solid Bordeaux. Dark red colour and fruity, almost oaky nose. Hints of leather. On the palate firm tanins with red fruit and more leather, cigarrs and tabaco as well as chocolate.
unfortunately not decanted long enough. I am shure it would have developed more and better.

Round and approachable, this wine showed classic merlot character, with cherries and plums up front and some cassis and coffee on the midpalate. Shorter finish showed some ripe tannins. Still a nice ruby color and very nicely balanced, this one should continue to develop for a couple more years.

Yet another good example of French Bordeaux. Very nice wine - smooth, solid, balanced. It likes air and rewards you after a little air time. Nose is a tad funky right after open, but quickly clears to reveal nice soft fruits and some chocolate and a hint of spice/leather. Good legs - 12.5% alcohol - no heat on the nose. Dark purple/pale brown in the stemware. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon. Nice on the palate with a great mouthfeel, smooth tannins, balanced acidity, and a decent finish. Classic French Red Bordeaux. I did not try this with food, but I suspect it would compliment a wide variety of dishes - what comes to my mind is a nice Shrimp and Bay Scallop Alfredo Sauce over Fettucine Noodles with a side of Toasted Garlic French Bread. This wine would go just perfect with that dish! Jeez, how do these French guys do this - their wines are just so damn good.

Faint, but nice old world nose of cherries and village barnyard. Savory herbs, ground meat, cherries and leather on the palate with very little finish. A decent introduction to some of the sensations of a mature Bordeaux, this wine feels slightly beyond it's peak. This is a good wine to have with food, but lacking in intensity or interest.

Great French Wine. Best wine I have had in a while. Heavy cherry (or plum) and leather tones. Very bold body, i first had it with a meal, but it can definitely stand on its own in my opinion.
