(about 1 year ago)This is one of the most deceptive wines you will ever try. The color on this is just awful. Light, and I mean, light. Very ruby color. So you swirl the glass, and take a whiff, and you almost fall out of your chair. The nose is entoxicating, so much so, it's hard to actually taste the wine. The nose smells exactly like cherry cola. Once you finally get past that, the flavor lingers in to the taste of the wine, but adds on other flavors like mint, cassis, plum and strawberry. This is silly good for the price, well, as long as you like new world wine. It can be sweet, and this would be best with a hearty meal, but for $20, this is awesome wine.

(about 1 year ago)Nose: cherry bomb! Cherry Coke. Raspberries, light oak very unusual for a cab (red fruit). Flavours: Cherries! Cherry coke (I read a review from Libraryrat who hits it on the head). Raspberries, hint of mint, coffee and oak. Notes: Superb Cab! Recommended by WineLibrary. I had 3 bottles shipped. Wonderfully aromatic it is straight cherries. Hints of raspberries and oak. Very unusual for a cab to have such red fruit aromas and flavors. The flavours expand on what the nose offered, cherries, cherries and then some more cherries. But what takes this wine to the next level is that it handles the cherries, almost retrains them with hints of mint, vanilla, mocha and oak. The mouth feel is insanely smooth.... almost like heavy cream. The transitions to and through the mid-palette are seductive. The finish continues the sensations and lingers long with all the finesse of a much higher priced wine. Summed up... new world with old world finesse and complexity rarely seen at this price point. Do it... buy it... do yourself a favor! Note: Wine will even get better with time in the cellar. Slight bitterness from the tannins that will fade with a little more age.

(about 1 year ago)Poor color for a cab ruby red. Great nose of sweet red cherries and raspberries and more of the same flavors. After it was open about an hour it did come across a little sweet but for $20 a screaming bargain. Thanks Ian
