A good Bordeaux maybe a year past it's prime, but still pairs nicely with almost any red meat.

Color was a nice dark cranberry bordering on garnet. Nose of red fruit, clove, and coffee. Taste of pepper and leather, mushroom and green herbs, mellowing and finishing with hints of oak and fennel with good length. A little flat at first, this wine is well balanced and integrated and is a very nice, soft mild-bodied Bordeaux.

Tried this wine in HADM 430 at Cornell. This wine smells of oak, tobacco and cigars. The flavor is oaky, a bit warm, and peppery. There is a small amount of acid too. Definitely for food.

Very soft and smooth. Little setiment. Went perfectly with sirloin steak and even halibut.
