"From the 2004 Oberhauser Brucke Riesling Spatlese rise aromas of honey, grapefruit, candied lemon and blueberries. Blue fruit and honey are poured over the palate as well, creamy and rich, yet animated by insistently bright citricity, high-toned esters of distilled berries, nippy notes of invigoratingly tart fruit skin, and mineral salts. The finish is a veritable fugue of intricate flavors, exhibiting astonishing clarity and length." Wine Advocate # 161 Oct 2005 David Schildknecht - 94 pts. Drink 2007-2022

Tasted 11/2006 in Michigan. Best riesling so far. Color was pale yellow w/ almost a shade of green melon added to it. Nose was obnoxiously good. Tasted sweet, with apple and honey flavors, but sugar was polished and not overpowering at all. buying up on this guy - consistently enjoy Donnhoff - especially love the Oberhäuser Brücke.

Pale gold in color with a precise nose of apples, honey, grapefruit zest, green almonds, paraffin and slate. Intriguing subtle hyperfine bubbles in the mouth, totally refreshing and inspiring....a great riesling. Crisp, citrusy with unripe peaches, asian pears a fantastic minerality, acidity and a terrific sweetish finish. If you're looking for a bottle that will make you re-consider and love Rieslings....aim for this one.
