Yangarra 2004 Mc Laren Vale Cadenzia
(about 1 year ago)Popped and poured. Lavish nose, nutty aroma, like toasted almonds and pecans, with plenty of cherry and the skin of a dark ripe plum. Super silky on the palate, immediate but subtle dark chocolate mixed with cherry, some espresso dark coffee flavor. Transitions well into the mid-palate with balanced acidity and soft, mild tannin. Very well structured, alcohol is nicely integrated, almost no heat. Finish is long, long, still tasting it after 40 seconds. Still fruity on the finish, plum notes ringing through. Great mouthfeel, total palate coating. Really nice bottle, ready to drink now. No complaints with the price at all.
