Tete-a-Tete 2003 Dom. de la Terre Rouge
(about 1 year ago)50% Mourvedre 50% Syrah. Mild pepper on the nose. Blueberries, Rainier Cherries. Full mouthfeel. Alc. at 14.5%, I was a little nervous, but well integrated here with just enough tannin in to a long finish. Pepper a little muted on a very fruity mid-palate. Surprisingly easy to drink for such a young Mourvedre. Very well made for the price. French Cotes du Rhones typically have quite a bit more pepper. Can't have everything! Very well made. A bargain! Would pair well with lighter meats. Mild cheeses a must. Could handle garlic and gingered foods easily.
