I would have expected more from these guys/girls. Silver is an un-oaked Chard from the same people who produce Caymus. Its good dont get me wrong, but its not $40 good. Most $10-15 Aussie unoaked chardonnays could match up to this wine in a blind tasting

Great tropical fruit and surprising minerality on the nose - pineapple, mango, guava, typical Monterey terroir bouquet. Not a huge attack on the nose. A little acidity and alcohol comes through as well. The first taste out of the bottle was acidity - lemon and lime, and a little underripe grapefruit. Once the wine got up to about 40-45 degrees, though, the acidity gave way to a flinty, edgy mouth-feel with BIG tropical fruit echoing the nose. A little apple in there too. Shorter finish than the nose and mouth-feel led me to believe. Good bottle of wine, one of the better chardonnays at the price point. Great food wine.

This wine was very good. Loved the fruityness of the chardonnay without the oak. Nice tropical fruits without the buttery oakiness. Would drink again.
