Torres 2003 Sangre de Toro
(over 2 years ago)My favorite cheap wine. Since this was first reccommended to me I've kept a few bottles in stock at all times.

(over 2 years ago)Surprisingly good. Had this in 2004 and having a bottle tonight. It's aged (if you can call two years "age") extremely well. would've thought it were a $20 bottle instead of an $8 bottle. Like another poster said: my favorite cheap wine.

(over 2 years ago)Grenache blend. Nice black fruit and spice on the nose. Deep ruby color, and medium body. Some black currant and anise on the palate. Not very complex but well focused with firm integrated tannins. Simple flavor profile, but perfectly balanced. Dry in style and still bursting with fruit. Tastes very smooth and complete despite a lack of any discernable oak. A remarkable value for this level of winemaking. (Under 10 bucks). Better than most Rhone blends at twice this price. If this were just slightly more interesting I would give it four stars. Excellent well crafted effort though. My new go to wine.

(about 1 year ago)Loved the plastic bull attached to the cork cover. Wine was good too, surprisingly so, for something sold with a happy meal toy.
