2006 Ferrari-Carano Fumé Blanc is a blend of vineyard lots from various appellations of Sonoma County. We focus on sites with well-drained soils and different rootstocks in order to craft a wine that is refined and elegant with a rich palette of fruit. Zesty flavors and aromas of tropical fruit such as kiwi, gooseberry, pineapples and mangos with a hint of grassiness are complemented by creamy citrus notes. Aging partially in stainless steel and older French oak gives this wine a crisp freshness and a subtle oak character that addes great complexity and depth.

Hmmm... I don't know what to say... I just like it! I had it at a restaurant in Vegas and it was perfect, so I found some when I returned. It's reasonably priced and delicious!

This wine jumps into your glass! Subtle earthy nose at the start, but the finish is all about tropical fruit. Serve with mango egg rolls on a warm day. This is the second bottle at a restaurant for me and both times the wine did a great job complementing the food. Get it while you can.

Wine club selection from Ferrari-Carano. Had a bit more oak than I expected from a Sauvignon Blanc but still a great food wine with Grilled shrimp.

This is the house white at many Ritz Carlton's, which is how we got introduced to it. My wife likes it a lot.

Maybe it is because it is 96 degrees outside and the bottle is nice and cold but I do like this wine. This is weird but my very first whiff said pineapple. Went it expecting a super sweet wine but found it just right and pretty well balanced. My second Ferrari-Carano in the last few months. These folks make good wine. Just the right touch of acidity, sweet but not cloying... apricot and peach tones to it as well. Very bubbly... A nice refreshing white! A great value for the price. ...May 2008
