ripe black cherry, stawberry, plum fruit in new world style with firm tannins. one-dimensional, without much evolution over the course of the meal. tasted this alongside a 1999 lisini brunello di montalcino with a meal of veal osso bucco. maybe unfair for the showket, but the lisini blew it away, especially as the lisini got better with the meal.
